Giuseppe Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Teixeira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fabiofs's Ramón Fantini quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mauro Luz scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giuseppe Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Luz came free, but Giuseppe Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored FÊNIX F.C.'s protests and gave Pedro Luís Pereira a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt Bouchard in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giuseppe Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Zé Augusto Recife came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Fabiofs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Recife couldn't finish the play. Giuseppe Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Giuseppe Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Kauã Moreno sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Rodriguinho Schmidt got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Rodriguinho Schmidt lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 53 minutes into the game, one of Fabiofs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for FÊNIX F.C.. Marquinhos Teixeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Giuseppe Montenegro. 0-3. 58 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goalkeeper Giuseppe Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauã Moreno. The crowd rose to their feet as FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giuseppe Montenegro. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. Giuseppe Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Kauã Moreno sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Fantini to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. The Fabiofs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Giuseppe Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã Moreno got free with Giuseppe Montenegro in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kléber Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fabiofs fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FÊNIX F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
