The crowd rose to their feet as Cordero Gipils kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franciszek Lerych. That made the score 4-2 in the 87 minute of play. Gau Resto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Franciszek Lerych tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie Colon got free with Franciszek Lerych in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atlético Municipal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
