When Cristiano Severo fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Compostela FSCMZ's protests and gave Cristiano Severo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Compostela FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Severo to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Paes came free, but Glauco Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Almir Faria made a huge save. Crisólia FBPA were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Compostela FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jano da Rocha took the corner. The corner ended in Jano da Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Compostela FSCMZ's Almir Faria did a great save. In the 10th minute Valdo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Narciso da Costa put in a rough tackle. In the 12th minute, Narciso da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Prado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Crisólia FBPA's Glauco Marinho. Glauco Marinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Compostela FSCMZ's Valdo Gonçalves in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Crisólia FBPA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compostela FSCMZ the free kick. Ruy Prado hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos da Costa came free, but Glauco Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glauco Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Prado in the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Luís Eduardo Prado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glauco Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Gonçalves in the 45th minute of play forced Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Glauco Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Crisólia FBPA getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Eugênio Perez hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Glauco Marinho made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Valdo Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Osvaldo Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando Furlan in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Almir Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Prado in the 60th minute of the match. Crisólia FBPA's Glauco Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos da Costa in the 64th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Compostela FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis da Rocha came free, but Almir Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Crisólia FBPA got a corner. Compostela FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jano da Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Crisólia FBPA's Jano da Rocha to fire away a dangerous shot which Almir Faria despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Furlan in the 79th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Almir Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Crisólia FBPA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Osvaldo Vergílio hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Compostela FSCMZ's Luís Eduardo Prado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4.
