In the 7th minute Fabio Cannata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arvin Hökkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arvin Hökkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin 雷震南 in the 13th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jarrod Leary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jarrod Leary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darnell Metcalf in the 17th minute of play. Jarrod Leary stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bennvar Nobel's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 24th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson to maneuver through the defense. American Airlines's Arvin Hökkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 26th minute of play. After 33 minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Darnell Metcalf who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Anoush Khalatbari managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Anoush Khalatbari's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Jarrod Leary skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The corner led to American Airlines's Bennvar Nobel getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 41 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Trujillo. When Anoush Khalatbari came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the American Airlines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anoush Khalatbari couldn't finish the play. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Xu Yuan Lin replaced Larry Cermak.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anoush Khalatbari to make the kick off. The supporters of American Airlines booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Swanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Arvin Hökkvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 74th minute Anoush Khalatbari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Kellogg charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Kellogg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Anoush Khalatbari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarrod Leary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Kellogg, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind American Airlines's goalkeeper Arvin Hökkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Truman Crockett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When American Airlines's Anoush Khalatbari in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Jed Jewell got a free kick in the 98th minute. Dave Sylvester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the referee ended the match the American Airlines players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
