When Don Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Duarte couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Duarte in the 20th minute of play forced DARAS's goalkeeper Dobrin Beremov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DARAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Boncho Zhilev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. King Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Don Duarte to make the kick off. After 69 played minutes, DARAS's Kostadin Mazhdrakov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper King Duarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DARAS reached it.
