Robin Olsen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Paulo Cabrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Víkingur Bastarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haymakers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Víkingur Bastarda in the 14th minute. Patric Söderqvist made a great header on Haymakers FC's corner, it was just that Club Olimpia's Paulo Cabrera managed to reach the ball for a save. After 17 minutes, Jim Håkansson made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Olimpia's Paulo Cabrera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víkingur Bastarda in the 24th minute of the match. Fernando Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute Fernando Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Olsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Fernando Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommy Josefsson during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Haymakers FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tommy Josefsson hit a great ball. Paulo Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Söderqvist in the 43rd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Haymakers FC's Patric Söderqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Cabrera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Fernando Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Robin Olsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Olimpia.

After having played for 54 minutes, Víkingur Bastarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haymakers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víkingur Bastarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Olsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Humberto Tabares kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Håkansson got free with Paulo Cabrera in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo Cabrera was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Jim Håkansson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jim Håkansson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. In the 63rd minute, Sven-Olof Mogren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jim Håkansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Club Olimpia booed when Haymakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Mogren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Cabrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Håkansson in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes, Lope Rugama mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Olimpia and the Haymakers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Club Olimpia's Paulo Cabrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Club Olimpia from getting a goal against them. After having played for 81 minutes, Víkingur Bastarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paulo Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Söderqvist in the 89th minute of the match. Club Olimpia's Paulo Cabrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Club Olimpia from getting a goal against them. Humberto Tabares charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Tabares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Jim Håkansson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Cabrera. The goal made the score 1-7. Haymakers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
