After having played for 9 minutes, Henrik Pihlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wrexham A.F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrik Pihlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Edvin Rolandsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wrexham A.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Edvin Rolandsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Finsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvin Rolandsson in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olof Finsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olof Finsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Pihlgren in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Henrik Pihlgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olof Finsberg was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils-Erik Åkesson to strike the kick off in the second half.
