After 8 played minutes America De Cali got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Brasa. A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vincent Burguete kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of America De Cali booed when A.C. Paulistano - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Isidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manoel Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Burguete, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Leopoldo Isidor was slow to take the kick. During this time A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. Leopoldo Isidor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bikendi Oyarzabal came out and tried to block the shot, but Leopoldo Isidor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 40th minute. Manoel Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Burguete in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Zacarias Ariste ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manoel Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. The A.C. Paulistano - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. America De Cali were winning 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink to make the kick off.
