After a defensive mix-up in Eureka's zone, Roland Ziomkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Carmo came out of the goal and Roland Ziomkowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the game, Roland Ziomkowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. António Carmo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Sá came free, but Tolek Sidorowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Carmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Ziomkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Eureka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcino Portugal to maneuver through the defense. Roland Ziomkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Carmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Eureka defense, Roland Ziomkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Carmo. The Eureka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Carmo should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Roland Ziomkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. António Carmo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Seixas in the 35th minute of play forced Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy's goalkeeper Tolek Sidorowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes Eureka got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Moutinho. In the 39th minute Telmo Seixas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Sidorowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Ragnar Viking hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tolek Sidorowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Sá in the 45th minute of play. Tolek Sidorowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Raminhos, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Ziomkowski made a kick off. After 81 played minutes Eureka got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Moutinho. In the 82nd minute, Tanek Cwynar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Roland Ziomkowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Carmo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Tolek Sidorowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Seixas in the 85th minute of the match. If António Vilela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Eureka booed when Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Balkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Czerwone Lwy Podjuchy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eureka had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
