Acilia Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Esiquio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 14th minute Mauro Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Soccio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Esiquio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Corrado Soccio made a huge save. Dionisia's Damaso Salvino got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melchor Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Checchia charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessandro Checchia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Acilia Town's Alessandro Checchia got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Alessandro Nero hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Corrado Soccio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Esiquio's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Dionisia were awarded a corner. Cecilio Erlantz went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Acilia Town's Corrado Soccio got control of the ball when Mauro Esiquio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alejo Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Nero, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Esiquio got free with Corrado Soccio in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 40 in the game by Damaso Salvino from a close distance when the talented Corrado Soccio managed to make a qualified save. Acilia Town's players were relieved. Cristiano Falone's late challenge caught a Dionisia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Falone helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Falone hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Damaso Salvino was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Dionisia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Acilia Town made a substitution. Emanuele Restaino replaced Concetto Alberico. Acilia Town's Fabiano Galli was substituted for Alberto Diana. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Esiquio to make the kick off. The supporters of Acilia Town booed when Dionisia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dionisia reached it. Mauro Esiquio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosimo Lauria charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosimo Lauria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dionisia's Mauro Esiquio got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Dionisia were awarded a corner. In the 86th minute, Benigno Luar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corrado Soccio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dionisia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
