When Zinon Kyrgiakos fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gozilla's protests and gave Zinon Kyrgiakos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Gozilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinon Kyrgiakos to maneuver through the defense. Akis Martinakos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chuttur Lønge went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gozilla's Akis Martinakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Orange in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Magalhães in the 8th minute of play forced Gozilla's goalkeeper Akis Martinakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Akis Martinakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Magalhães in the 10th minute of the match. After 12 minutes, Argyris Kassapis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gozilla and the Marquês de Herval players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gozilla getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Argyris Kassapis hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gozilla's zone, Chuttur Lønge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akis Martinakos came out of the goal and Chuttur Lønge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Dorotheos Ouzounidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gozilla's Akis Martinakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chuttur Lønge in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Manfredo Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akis Martinakos. Gozilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Gozilla's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Orange came free, but Akis Martinakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Domingues in the 24th minute of play forced Gozilla's goalkeeper Akis Martinakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Davi Cearense hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Koukoulekis came free, but Oscar Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Giannis Stamatis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akis Martinakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chuttur Lønge in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuttur Lønge in the 33rd minute of play forced Gozilla's goalkeeper Akis Martinakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Akis Martinakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Magalhães in the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Gozilla's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Domingues came free, but Akis Martinakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akis Martinakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Akis Martinakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Domingues in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Oscar Freire got control of the ball when Giannis Stamatis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giannis Koukoulekis was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Marquês de Herval's Lucas Rabelo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lucas Rabelo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Marquês de Herval protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lucas Rabelo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Gozilla. Fokas Souflas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oscar Freire. 1-2. Akis Martinakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Domingues in the 57th minute of play. Chuttur Lønge's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Akis Martinakos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Gozilla's Argyris Kassapis got a free kick in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the game, Chuttur Lønge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Akis Martinakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chuttur Lønge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Akis Martinakos made a huge save. When Carlos Eduardo Martins came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Marquês de Herval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Eduardo Martins couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when Gozilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argyris Kassapis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chuttur Lønge got free with Akis Martinakos in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Akis Martinakos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oscar Magalhães. Fokas Souflas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Gozilla got a freekick which was hit by Fokas Souflas. Akis Martinakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Leite in the 84th minute of the match. Akis Martinakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chuttur Lønge in the 97th minute. When the match was over Marquês de Herval could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gozilla throughout the match.
