Leopoldo Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Gol in the 20th minute. A collision led to F.C. Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Zaaki 凌统 hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, F.C. Sosnowiec's Gustavo Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leopoldo Rezende. Leopoldo Rezende yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Luan Alves made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and César de Godoi immediately put the ball in play. After 39 minutes of play, F.C. Sosnowiec's Gustavo Gol made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vasco FC's Leopoldo Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Vasco FC from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Gol. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Durvalino Dracena with Denílson Ramalho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Durvalino Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Gol in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Rezende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo Rezende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Gol went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of F.C. Sosnowiec booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Gol in the 71st minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.C. Sosnowiec's Gustavo Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes, Dedê Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasco FC and the F.C. Sosnowiec players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Vasco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Meireles to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Gol came free, but Leopoldo Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
