One of Liverpool:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caleufú:s goal. The goalkeeper, Tudor Ene, was totally fooled by Caleufú's Prospero Guilabertus, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Ion Hârlab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Manuel Urtungo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Caleufú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Urtungo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Caleufú booed when Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Mihaiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Guilabertus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Tudor Ene made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Urtungo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tudor Ene saved Liverpool from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Manuel Urtungo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Ene came out of the goal and Manuel Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute of the match Caleufú got a corner. Liverpool's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prospero Guilabertus ran over to the corner to take the kick. Caleufú's Prospero Guilabertus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tudor Ene in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Manuel Urtungo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tudor Ene. A collision led to Caleufú getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Manuel Urtungo hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Manuel Urtungo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tudor Ene. Liverpool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Urtungo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caleufú fully deserved thier win.
