An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Borowski in the 23rd minute of play forced Skytta Toppidrettslag's goalkeeper Birger Hammerstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Skytta Toppidrettslag's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olaf Przewozik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Ludomir Werra put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Birger Hammerstad. Jacek Budzynski hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Atle Sundstrøm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
