Edoardo Paoletti didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in San Michele AFC's zone, Luizinho Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arrigo Apicella came out of the goal and Luizinho Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 minutes of play, GynBsb's Vivaldo Fernandes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arrigo Apicella was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Ottaviani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Faustão de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrigo Apicella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Ottaviani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Vivaldo Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Apicella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, GynBsb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Britto to maneuver through the defense. Arrigo Apicella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Fernandes in the 25th minute of the match. Arrigo Apicella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by GynBsb's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aldo Piattelli was slow to take the kick. During this time San Michele AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of GynBsb's goalie and right to Edoardo Paoletti. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. GynBsb's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in GynBsb's zone, Anfilogino Imperiale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão de Azevedo came out of the goal and Anfilogino Imperiale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrigo Apicella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Anfilogino Imperiale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovanni Arósio was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Fernandes in the 55th minute of play forced San Michele AFC's goalkeeper Arrigo Apicella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Ottaviani's late challenge caught a GynBsb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Ottaviani helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, San Michele AFC's Alex Ottaviani got a free kick in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, San Michele AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Prestes came free, but Arrigo Apicella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivaldo Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arrigo Apicella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Michele AFC's Arrigo Apicella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Prestes in the 64th minute of play. Florian Pellecchia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. Arrigo Apicella made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Luizinho Britto sent off a good shot on target. Fedele Angelucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Maicon Pires took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Arrigo Apicella to make any attempt to save it. Arrigo Apicella was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Maicon Pires capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maicon Pires really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Arrigo Apicella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Vivaldo Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arrigo Apicella was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. GynBsb's Vivaldo Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vivaldo Fernandes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arrigo Apicella came out and tried to block the shot, but Vivaldo Fernandes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 95th minute. When the match was over GynBsb could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than San Michele AFC throughout the match.
