Cássio Aparecido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hamílton Mota scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moise Robu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Ferdinand Şumălan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cássio Aparecido. That made the score 2-1 after 17 minutes of play. In the 21st minute Iulian Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Nisipeanu in the 24th minute of the match. Cássio Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Nisipeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moise Robu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Olavo Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moise Robu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Porto. 37 minutes into the game, Olavo Loyola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Moise Robu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Ferdinand Şumălan got a free kick in the 41st minute. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Cássio Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Nisipeanu in the 46th minute of play. Cazimir Carp's late challenge caught a S.C. Corinthians Paulista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cazimir Carp helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the game, one of -BZF- Viitorul Buzau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdinand Şumălan to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudiu Negrițoiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio Aparecido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudiu Negrițoiu ran back to his position shaking his head. Moise Robu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olavo Loyola in the 64th minute. If Ferdinand Şumălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Senin during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Dan Senin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the S.C. Corinthians Paulista defense, Ferdinand Şumălan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Aparecido. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Aparecido should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Claudiu Negrițoiu got a free kick in the 89th minute. Cássio Aparecido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iulian Nisipeanu went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau fans cheered their team off the field, for while S.C. Corinthians Paulista had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
