In the 2nd minute Leandro Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Greenwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Lawrence Smart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Dario Mikelats ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bart Greenwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Alford during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Kris Marks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Bart Greenwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB. Bart Greenwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's Hilario Laffitte got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Rowell in the 41st minute of play forced TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Lucio Lesardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Homer Diggs sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Lesardo skillfully saved the ball. Lucio Lesardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desmond Rowell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Mikelats was the one to do the kick off. Kris Marks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Lesardo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Furtado got free with Bart Greenwood in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Desmond Rowell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Kris Marks. The supporters of TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Marks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Greenwood having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustacio Nofre during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Santos FC booed when TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Nofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lawrence Smart charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lawrence Smart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lawrence Smart hit a great ball. Leon Burr kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
