Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kris Marks started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kris Marks got free with Jolan Gache in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Santos FC's Rodrick Orlinsky slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jolan Gache. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Rowell in the 19th minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Jolan Gache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jolan Gache made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Leon Burr sent off a good shot on target. Bart Greenwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivien Contant in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Ragland to maneuver through the defense. Leon Burr charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Burr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Burr didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's Gildas Bascou broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 33 played minutes Desmond Rowell rounded Cosa nostra Lyon's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Jolan Gache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kris Marks. Jolan Gache was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Dave Alford capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dave Alford really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 44th minute of the match, Rodrick Orlinsky tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jolan Gache saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 47th minute Desmond Rowell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Gache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Desmond Rowell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jolan Gache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrick Orlinsky didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Steven Lebreton fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosa nostra Lyon's protests and gave Steven Lebreton a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Lebreton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Rodrick Orlinsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Rodrick Orlinsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Gache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosa nostra Lyon's Jolan Gache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond Rowell in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Kris Marks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Jolan Gache didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kris Marks went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the match, Kris Marks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jolan Gache. Cosa nostra Lyon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kris Marks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Jolan Gache came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Kris Marks. But to his dismay, Kris Marks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Barbey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jolan Gache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Burr, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Jolan Gache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrick Orlinsky in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Santos FC had played much better football throughout.
