Thanks to some nice moves Parker Nance could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Ezequiel Amthauer however easily saved by the left post. In the 31st minute, Shayne Hess ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel Amthauer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 38 minutes into the match, Moncho Bonomelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilbur Farrell. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moncho Bonomelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Wilbur Farrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moncho Bonomelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wolf Team AC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
