Raimundo Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimilios Siozos in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Andreas Seremetiadis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raimundo Ortiz. The goal made the score 1-0. Aimilios Siozos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Makis Liras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jataiense Futebol Clube's Raimundo Ortiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Evandro Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jataiense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panos Okkas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Jataiense Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Giuseppe Siqueira went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Giuseppe Siqueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Panos Okkas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Panos Okkas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Jataiense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Makis Liras came free, but Raimundo Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Andreas Seremetiadis sent off a good shot on target. Edu Velloso's late challenge caught a GREEN LIONS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Jataiense Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in GREEN LIONS's zone, Pedro Paulo Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Okkas came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Raimundo Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Jataiense Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Paulo Paes to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Furtado charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Furtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Severino Furtado. GREEN LIONS's Panos Okkas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save GREEN LIONS from getting a goal against them. Panos Okkas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Paulo Paes in the 54th minute. Pedro Paulo Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jataiense Futebol Clube made a substitution. Wellington Moura replaced Evandro Novaes. Aníbal Leal hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Makis Liras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Ortiz. Jataiense Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Makis Liras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Chrisostomos Kavourdoukos hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Wellington Moura shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Panos Okkas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edu Velloso hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The supporters of Jataiense Futebol Clube booed when GREEN LIONS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Seremetiadis didn't get a good kick on the ball. GREEN LIONS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
