After a defensive mix-up in Hartmann Futebol Clube's zone, Ladislao Harriet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Oliveira came out of the goal and Ladislao Harriet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jefferson Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Cruzado in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Timmy Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Empire of Soccer's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmy Sandberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hartmann Futebol Clube's Jefferson Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 53rd minute of play. Empire of Soccer were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Hartmann Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gerson Cruzado took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 57th minute of play forced Hartmann Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Jefferson Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Wit Beton managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jefferson Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Harriet in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match, Carlos Alberto Cavalcante tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uriel Malvin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 68 minutes into the game, José Pedro Freitas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Empire of Soccer's Intriago Migolla quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 69th minute Ladislao Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hartmann Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Harriet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The audience was convinced that Ladislao Harriet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Oliveira was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Harriet in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Xanthos Fikias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Empire of Soccer fully deserved thier win.
