Darwin Saville FC's Carman Tinsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Paredes in the 6th minute of play. If Jan-Olof Kinell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan-Olof Kinell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Asteri having to interfere. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Cristian Romero got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute Gigel Bianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Darwin Saville FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bartosz Sochacki hit a great ball. Jan-Olof Kinell struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Leo Asteri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darwin Saville FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Messi in the 34th minute of play forced Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Carman Tinsley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Darwin Saville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Olof Kinell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Darwin Saville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Barker to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 48 minutes, Bartosz Sochacki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwin Saville FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartosz Sochacki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lionel Messi was the one to do the kick off. If Jan-Olof Kinell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darwin Saville FC's Carman Tinsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Paredes in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Leandro Paredes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Darwin Saville FC's Carman Tinsley didn't even have to move. After having played for 64 minutes, Bartosz Sochacki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwin Saville FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartosz Sochacki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Acuña to maneuver through the defense. La Scaloneta made a substitution. Ángel-Fabián Di María replaced Leandro Paredes. After 84 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Acuña. Kevin Perandis might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Asteri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Perandis ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Perandis came free, but Leo Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Olof Kinell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, La Scaloneta failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
