Leandro Daneri was a little too slow when Nick Stark got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Nick Stark came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leandro Daneri could save by the left post. Nick Stark who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Leandro Daneri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Daniel Martinovic in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Ferdinand Agachi. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Toto Škarpa got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the El Eterno Campeón defense, Nick Stark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Daneri. The El Eterno Campeón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Daneri should have stopped the shot. Nick Stark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, El Eterno Campeón's Tanio Mascaro got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nick Stark in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Daneri saved El Eterno Campeón from getting behind. When Nick Stark came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Patricio Rey Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Stark couldn't finish the play. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Toto Škarpa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Nick Stark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Daneri having to interfere. Danél Van Schowen's late challenge caught a Patricio Rey Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danél Van Schowen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Patricio Rey Futbol Club booed when El Eterno Campeón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danél Van Schowen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toto Škarpa was the one to do the kick off. A beautiful save bye El Eterno Campeón's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Patricio Rey Futbol Club had played much better football throughout.
