Nueva Adalucia were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after The Old Boys's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leopoldo Ramis took the corner. 11 minutes into the match, Santa Luis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Nueva Adalucia's Alejandro Landa. Alejandro Landa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Ramis in the 19th minute of play forced The Old Boys's goalkeeper Joaquin Gudesteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Arsenio Erico made the kick off in the second half. When Aquilino Lauren fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Old Boys's protests and gave Aquilino Lauren a yellow card for diving instead. Aquilino Lauren hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Nueva Adalucia's Bienvenido Jubera shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joaquin Gudesteo but with some difficulty. Alejandro Landa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Savion in the 55th minute of the match. Nueva Adalucia's Alejandro Landa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Homero Thomson in the 61st minute of play. Arsenio Erico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gudesteo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, The Old Boys's Aquilino Lauren got a free kick in the 64th minute. Behe Etxeberria's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gudesteo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, The Old Boys's Aquilino Lauren got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, The Old Boys's goalkeeper Joaquin Gudesteo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Ramis. Santa Luis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Many of Nueva Adalucia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Nueva Adalucia may have spent more time on the ball, but The Old Boys were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
