Gremio Viana's Adalberto Leite quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Iván Cordoba, made in the 51st minute of the game. Alfredinho Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Lencastre in the 52nd minute of play. Teodoro Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Nóbrega having to interfere. C.U.E. DE COMERCIO made a substitution. Francisco Taveira replaced Isaac Incendio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Bertoni in the 63rd minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Moisés Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
