In the 11th minute Estevão Antas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portucale H5's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gonçalo Pereira in the 12th minute. A nice corner shot did that Maximo Mikolas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sérgio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamilton Espírito Santo in the 14th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Zdrojowy to make the kick off.
