With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manga Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of MACUMBA booed when Ballybunion Celtic F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryleigh McLaughlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jânio de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With an all-out effort, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Manga Santos threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. MACUMBA's Manga Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save MACUMBA from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedri Berat in the 16th minute of play forced Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goalkeeper Jânio de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MACUMBA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Alfredinho Teixeira scored to the left of an out of position Manga Santos, making the score, 1-0. Jânio de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Jaen in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Alfredinho Teixeira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Manga Santos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Manga Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay in the 39th minute of play. Manga Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Braulio Martinez in the 42nd minute. Alfredinho Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Manga Santos made a huge save. Manga Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Feliciano Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, MACUMBA's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay came free, but Manga Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manga Santos. Manga Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Alfredinho Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manga Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Mazinho Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Alessandro Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th minute Alfredinho Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manga Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ballybunion Celtic F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while MACUMBA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
