Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dale Kirkpatrick started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dale Kirkpatrick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Kirkpatrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some careless play in the University of Rochester defense, Edgardo Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Drew Casey. The University of Rochester fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Drew Casey should have stopped the shot. In the 14th match minute, University of Rochester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wawrzyniec Damaski to maneuver through the defense. Drew Casey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Babbis Moisakos's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Babbis Moisakos helped the player get up and apologised. 30 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Kirkpatrick came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ye Gang Cheng kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Pacheco in the 36th minute of play forced University of Rochester's goalkeeper Drew Casey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edgardo Silva came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Silva couldn't finish the play. Edgardo Silva scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Drew Casey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeremy Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dale Kirkpatrick in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Silva was the one to do the kick off. Drew Casey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgardo Silva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 55 minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of New England Minas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of University of Rochester:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tio Lio in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Drew Casey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. University of Rochester were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after New England Minas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wawrzyniec Damaski took the corner. In the 81st minute Tony Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Casey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of New England Minas booed when University of Rochester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wayne Bragg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Kirkpatrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pacheco in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Ye Gang Cheng. After having played for 93 minutes, Dale Kirkpatrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. University of Rochester's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Kirkpatrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. University of Rochester's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
