The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stig-Ove Möller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Baykan Erincer made a huge save. Reginaldo Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baykan Erincer having to interfere. A collision led to DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Erik Huang hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jerson Gonzales managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerson Gonzales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baykan Erincer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lyle Flanagan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Traczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Garth Burrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Flanagan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyle Flanagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Burrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Akakios Kountouratzis charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akakios Kountouratzis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute of the match, Stig-Ove Möller got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baykan Erincer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 23 minutes, Stig-Ove Möller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Ove Möller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Burrell came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyle Flanagan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Traczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Kazimierz Traczewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Lyle Flanagan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Baykan Erincer managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Stig-Ove Möller fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Lyle Flanagan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Traczewski in the 33rd minute of play. Bart Timmons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Baykan Erincer made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Dias in the 41st minute of play forced DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Baykan Erincer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reginaldo Dias took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baykan Erincer. Baykan Erincer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Baykan Erincer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Ove Möller in the 52nd minute of the match. Reginaldo Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Baykan Erincer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khairil Swee hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Wilbur Bain was substituted for Garth Burrell. After 57 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO got a freekick which was hit by Khairil Swee. When Jerson Gonzales came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerson Gonzales couldn't finish the play. Baykan Erincer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Möller in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Baykan Erincer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baykan Erincer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Dias came free, but Baykan Erincer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Khairil Swee, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giuseppe Conway during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes EL LOBO DE MIAMI got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Conway. 91 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Bain came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Cristiano Trezeguet in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Erik Huang. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
