Charles Godholm started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes, Montesclarense E.C.'s Eusébio Ramalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rudolf Söderberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montesclarense E.C. reached it. Jarbas Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Söderberg having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Eusébio Ramalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sonny Friberger charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sonny Friberger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Sonny Friberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Godholm in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Montesclarense E.C.'s Jarbas Vinhas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudolf Söderberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eusébio Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Jarbas Vinhas made a precise shot to the right of Rudolf Söderberg. Buksvinens IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Buksvinens IF's Rudolf Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Ramalho in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Morgan Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buksvinens IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morgan Bengtsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eusébio Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Buksvinens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Arósio came free, but Rudolf Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buksvinens IF's Rudolf Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Vinhas in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Buksvinens IF's zone, Eusébio Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Söderberg came out of the goal and Eusébio Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Buksvinens IF booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Antonia Haraldsson in the 45th minute really tested Luiz Eger's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rudolf Söderberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusébio Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Arósio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rudolf Söderberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rudolf Söderberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Ramalho in the 58th minute. Pedro Luís Arósio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Eusébio Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Söderberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute of the match Rune Möllgren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Eger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luiz Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Friberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Söderberg made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Eusébio Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. Rune Möllgren charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rune Möllgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Montesclarense E.C. made a substitution. Wiliam Damião replaced Eusébio Ramalho. Rune Möllgren hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Buksvinens IF's zone, Wiliam Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Söderberg came out of the goal and Wiliam Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rudolf Söderberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wiliam Damião's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Charles Godholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montesclarense E.C.'s Wiliam Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Buksvinens IF getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Sonny Friberger hit a great ball. Charles Godholm hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Pedro Luís Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Montesclarense E.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Buksvinens IF.
