Jataiense Futebol Clube's Candido Urbes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 5th minute, Candido Urbes made a precise shot to the right of Edvin van der Saar. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Urbes in the 10th minute of play. Candido Urbes might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvin van der Saar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Urbes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Centurión in the 16th minute of play forced GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jataiense Futebol Clube's Candido Urbes in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jataiense Futebol Clube the free kick. After 33 played minutes GIOVANNI DZIADZIA got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Wasikowski. After 38 minutes, Rafal Kolano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GIOVANNI DZIADZIA and the Jataiense Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Rafal Kolano got a free kick in the 38th minute. Candido Urbes might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvin van der Saar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Urbes ran back to his position shaking his head. Edvin van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Urbes came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Candido Urbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dante Rafe to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Candido Urbes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvin van der Saar was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Candido Urbes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jataiense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Urbes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvin van der Saar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Candido Urbes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Milosz Szostak seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Milosz Szostak the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GIOVANNI DZIADZIA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Milosz Szostak had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of GIOVANNI DZIADZIA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jataiense Futebol Clube:s goal. If Candido Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Urbes in the 68th minute of play forced GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Urbes in the 70th minute of the match. Pipo Inzaghi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Edvin van der Saar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save GIOVANNI DZIADZIA from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Boruc in the 82nd minute of play forced Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sem Titulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Pipo Inzaghi came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sem Titulescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, Pipo Inzaghi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edvin van der Saar, 1-2. The GIOVANNI DZIADZIA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jataiense Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
