The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekber Merdan got free with Sandu Alungulesei in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 15 minutes, Ekber Merdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Huns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ekber Merdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Ekber Merdan came free, but Sandu Alungulesei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Ekber Merdan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sandu Alungulesei, 1-0. In the 22nd minute Pompiliu Uncheşelu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Booth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekber Merdan might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandu Alungulesei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ekber Merdan ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekber Merdan got free with Sandu Alungulesei in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as The Huns's Ekber Merdan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sandu Alungulesei. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. In the 37th minute, Ekber Merdan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xamo Zubiaur's late challenge caught a The Huns's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xamo Zubiaur helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Xamo Zubiaur. Ekber Merdan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sandu Alungulesei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ekber Merdan might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandu Alungulesei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ekber Merdan ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Andrei Alexandrescu made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Emerald's goalkeeper Sandu Alungulesei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Huns's Ekber Merdan got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ekber Merdan in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandu Alungulesei saved Emerald from getting behind. Emerald's attentive Karl-Oskar Lund managed to snatch the ball when Sigfrid Weikert made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Sandu Alungulesei came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by The Huns's Ekber Merdan. But to his dismay, Ekber Merdan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Sandu Alungulesei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ekber Merdan in the 67th minute of the match. Ekber Merdan took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandu Alungulesei. Sandu Alungulesei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Carl Booth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 74th minute. Emerald's Sandu Alungulesei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekber Merdan in the 84th minute of play.
