Spectators: 46 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robbin De Groote started the match with the kick off. Alfredo Baez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Wagemans having to interfere. Alfredo Baez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Mats Wagemans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gary Gamble. 11 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Royal Antwerp FC's Gert-Jan Van Haechten fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. A collision led to Royal Antwerp FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jerry Stuyck hit a great ball. Jacob De Hertoghe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfred Crowder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Stuyck in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Rudy Trotter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Creekers's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudy Trotter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Wagemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Antwerp FC's zone, Stacey Geiger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mats Wagemans came out of the goal and Stacey Geiger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Baez in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mats Wagemans saved Royal Antwerp FC from getting behind. When Stacey Geiger came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Creekers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stacey Geiger couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Creekers booed when Royal Antwerp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Vissenakens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Mats Wagemans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gary Gamble. After 40 minutes, Stacey Geiger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Creekers and the Royal Antwerp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Creekers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stacey Geiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Royal Antwerp FC's Tristan Van den Panhuijsen got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Weston Daly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Crowder came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Antwerp FC's Gert-Jan Van Haechten. But to his dismay, Gert-Jan Van Haechten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Stuyck in the 48th minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Alfred Crowder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Baez to strike the kick off in the second half. Gert-Jan Van Haechten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Alfred Crowder made a huge save. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Creekers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stacey Geiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Creekers defense, Jacob De Hertoghe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Crowder. The Creekers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Crowder should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Creekers getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rudy Trotter hit a great ball. Alfred Crowder was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alain Vissenakens. If Robbin De Groote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Crowder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Stuyck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otto Bullard lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Creekers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Royal Antwerp FC:s goal. The referee gave Royal Antwerp FC a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tristan Van den Panhuijsen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Creekers's Alfred Crowder. 0-4. When Jacob De Hertoghe fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal Antwerp FC's protests and gave Jacob De Hertoghe a yellow card for diving instead. Mathijs Van der Willeghem hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th play minute Gert-Jan Van Haechten came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alfred Crowder. 0-5. Alfred Crowder was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Jerry Stuyck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jerry Stuyck really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 85 minutes into the game, Royal Antwerp FC's Gert-Jan Van Haechten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfred Crowder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Gert-Jan Van Haechten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Crowder having to interfere. Alfred Crowder was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Robbin De Groote capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Robbin De Groote really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. The Creekers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Royal Antwerp FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Royal Antwerp FC.
