Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Generoso Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Hondo in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Hondo came free, but Generoso Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ke Xun hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Generoso Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Mino in the 7th minute of the match. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Pedro Ochoa got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rauno Rank during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Teofilo Federigo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Teofilo Federigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Ochoa in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Julian Birila. Palermo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Gustavo-Hernán Egoi scored to the left of an out of position Teofilo Federigo, making the score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Teofilo Federigo to make any attempt to save it. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Teofilo Federigo made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pedro Ochoa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofilo Federigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 54 minutes into the match, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teofilo Federigo. Palermo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo-Hernán Egoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Teofilo Federigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 60th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi made a precise shot to the right of Teofilo Federigo. Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka made a substitution. Bengt-Arne Åberg replaced Gustavo-Hernán Egoi. Bengt-Arne Åberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teofilo Federigo having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Bengt-Arne Åberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Federigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Bengt-Arne Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Arne Åberg couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Bengt-Arne Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Arne Åberg took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teofilo Federigo. Teofilo Federigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Ke Xun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teofilo Federigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aaron Jokin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Aaron Jokin to fire away a dangerous shot which Teofilo Federigo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka had won after a very even match.
