Arvid Sandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Edström in the 13th minute of play. Joseph Algren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Lägdin, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arvid Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingemar Stålman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. IKS Norrköping's Arvid Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Löfkvist in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of IKS Norrköping booed when Hermanö Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Michael Löfkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Ingemar Stålman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermanö Oilers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orvar Stenquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orvar Stenquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arvid Sandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 60th minute. Ingemar Stålman came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arvid Sandberg could save by the left post. Gustav Högström's late challenge caught a IKS Norrköping's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustav Högström helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Högström. Al Capone lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 71st match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Capone to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Ingemar Stålman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph Algren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Sörman in the 84th minute of play.
