Despite this Baltasar Matias quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Durval Fantini hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the VB-Team defense, Geovânio Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltasar Matias. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltasar Matias should have stopped the shot. Fabrício Lopes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Serafim Eanes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Geovânio Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Luís Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The VB-Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sporting DoutroMundo were winning 0-1.

Geovânio Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Matias having to interfere. Serafim Eanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hafız Öztekin in the 56th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Baltasar Matias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durval Fantini. In the 66th minute, Gervásio Severiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VB-Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 72nd match minute, Sporting DoutroMundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alípio Prates to maneuver through the defense. Serafim Eanes came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by VB-Team's Hafız Öztekin. But to his dismay, Hafız Öztekin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting DoutroMundo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hafız Öztekin was slow to take the kick. During this time VB-Team's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to VB-Team's Arthur Guerra getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 86th minute Aprígio Vasques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Sporting DoutroMundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Esparteiro to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes of play, VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Eanes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the VB-Team players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
