But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pál Polyák couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute of the match, Pál Polyák tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edwin van der Sar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Altino Palha made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Roman Quilo. In the 19thth minute of the game Pál Polyák who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, SITIO CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Quilo came free, but Cristiano Lage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SITIO CITY's Carlos Campelo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, União Sport Clube Paredes's Cristiano Lage threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jerónimo Furtado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 84th minute, Pál Polyák left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SITIO CITY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pál Polyák in the 90th minute of play. Jerónimo Furtado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristiano Lage came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerónimo Furtado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 91st minute. União Sport Clube Paredes were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
