After 12 played minutes Atletico Benevento got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Luzea. Juan Ramalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Alexander Zander made a huge save. After 15 minutes, Tadeo Abajas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trapiche and the Atletico Benevento players grew even worse after the yellow card. Atletico Benevento's Angelo Tarantini was substituted for Giacomo Guarisi. Atletico Benevento's Alexander Zander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilmar Lõvi in the 21st minute of play. If Antonello Tripodi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Trapiche booed when Atletico Benevento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Luzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Tripodi in the 28th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Santiago Meckel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Zander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmar Lõvi in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Arnulfo Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Meckel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Tarantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Meckel having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Antonello Tripodi put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Santiago Meckel. After having played for 43 minutes, Antonello Tripodi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Benevento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Tripodi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trapiche's Santiago Meckel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Tarantini in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Luzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Santiago Meckel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Luzea in the 59th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Santiago Meckel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
