The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Soriano Cuadrado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Lirayén's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jorge Nastasio was slow to take the kick. During this time The Everett Hawks's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on The Everett Hawks's corner Jorge Nastasio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Candido Gallegos quite easily take care of the ball. After 8 played minutes Jorge Nastasio rounded Deportivo Lirayén's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 11 minutes, Vinicio Quiero made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. The Everett Hawks's Ludo Vanden Bossche tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Candido Gallegos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorge Nastasio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 36 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Nastasio in the 44th minute of play forced Deportivo Lirayén's goalkeeper Candido Gallegos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Gallegos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Nastasio in the 46th minute of play. Deportivo Lirayén's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Candido Gallegos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Nastasio in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Nastasio in the 67th minute of play forced Deportivo Lirayén's goalkeeper Candido Gallegos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes of play, The Everett Hawks's Jorge Nastasio made it 6-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Gallegos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Nastasio took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Candido Gallegos. Candido Gallegos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-3. Candido Gallegos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Nastasio in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Nastasio in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candido Gallegos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fre Dillemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Candido Gallegos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, The Everett Hawks's goalkeeper Ludo Vanden Bossche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinicio Quiero. In the 90th minute, Thomas-Jan Kindts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Nastasio in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Gallegos saved Deportivo Lirayén from getting behind. Many of Deportivo Lirayén's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Deportivo Lirayén may have spent more time on the ball, but The Everett Hawks were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
