In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barões F. C.'s goalkeeper Júlio Baiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Juan Corredor took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Júlio Baiano to make any attempt to save it. If Patxi Palenzuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patxi Palenzuela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Baiano having to make a save. Júlio Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Corredor's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Júlio Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patxi Palenzuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barões F. C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! 24 minutes into the match, Juan Corredor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Baiano. Barões F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Corredor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 26thth minute of the game Patxi Palenzuela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Goitia to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Corredor, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Juan Corredor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Júlio Baiano made a huge save. Júlio Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Corredor in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Juan Corredor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Baiano having to make a save. Júlio Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Corredor in the 51st minute of play. Gilson Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Ruud van Nistelrooij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Juan Corredor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Júlio Baiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Barões F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fernado Sisalde came free, but Júlio Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Juan Corredor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Corredor in the 71st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Pistolelis got free with Videl Mauriz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Patxi Palenzuela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The audience was convinced that Juan Corredor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Baiano was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Corredor in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Baiano saved Barões F. C. from getting behind. Jefferson Paulista hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Gilson Coelho in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MILLONARIOS FC's Ruud van Nistelrooij. In the 93rd minute, Fernado Sisalde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MILLONARIOS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Barões F. C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
