Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gusmão Azeredo made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Caetano in the 3rd minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Nascimento. Edson Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Buffon having to interfere. William Shakespeare spun around in front of the goal 13 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Gremio Viana's goal. João Carvalhais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Hondaro in the 16th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gremio Viana's Basílio Caetano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gigi Buffon. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. The throw-in from Joselito Ocomardia in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Alexandre Onofre. Edson Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gremio Viana's Edson Nascimento came free and shot a quick shot against goal 28 minutes in the game, fortunately Gigi Buffon had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 29th minute of the match Gremio Viana got a corner. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mohamed Ali Bomba ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mohamed Ali Bomba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gigi Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadzio Araico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara defense, Edson Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gigi Buffon. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gigi Buffon should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Lucílio Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for William Shakespeare to strike the kick off in the second half. Gigi Buffon came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Basílio Caetano. But to his dismay, Basílio Caetano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Edson Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 60th minute Edson Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Joselito Ocomardia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edson Nascimento's late challenge caught a Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edson Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Edson Nascimento. In the 62nd minute, Lucílio Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Joselito Ocomardia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gremio Viana's João Carvalhais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. Tadzio Araico lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Gremio Viana. Mohamed Ali Bomba stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gigi Buffon. 4-0. Gusmão Azeredo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Gremio Viana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Teodoro Hondaro scored to the left of an out of position João Carvalhais, making the score, 4-1. In the 86th minute, Joselito Ocomardia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emeterio Somalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but João Carvalhais made a huge save. Edson Nascimento scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gremio Viana were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara for a fine match.
