After a defensive mix-up in Litoral EC - CIMZ's zone, Reyes Ritter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Prado came out of the goal and Reyes Ritter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Rui Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reyes Ritter in the 15th minute of play. Reyes Ritter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rui Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giuseppe Jewell in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Paulo José Campidelis made a precise shot to the right of Errol Sharpe. Santos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 29th minute Kris Marks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Kris Marks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Prado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 33rd minute, Giuseppe Jewell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jimmy Coulter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Santos FC. Kris Marks stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rui Prado. 1-3. In the 40thth minute of the game Giuseppe Jewell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Litoral EC - CIMZ's Rui Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kris Marks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Giuseppe Jewell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Litoral EC - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Marks came free, but Rui Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Litoral EC - CIMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Jewell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. After 84 played minutes Litoral EC - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Arce.
