Boy Fish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Aldo Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Aldo Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 12 minutes, Leopoldo Fernanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celta de Virgos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Fernanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Vicente Trigueiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Leopoldo Fernanco came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Celta de Virgos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Fernanco couldn't finish the play. Ceferino Austin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Oja in the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Fernanco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Boy Fish was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leopoldo Fernanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boy Fish read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Ceferino Austin made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ivo Oja sent off a good shot on target. Celta de Virgos's Ceferino Austin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Oja in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Quintanilha got free with Ceferino Austin in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Fernanco made a kick off. Ceferino Austin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Oja in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Fernanco in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boy Fish saved Arrebimba o Malho SLB from getting behind. In the 58th of the match, Leopoldo Fernanco tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Boy Fish got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 61 minutes of play, Celta de Virgos's Leopoldo Fernanco made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boy Fish was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boy Fish showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Florian in the 68th minute of the match. Roque Silviano kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnoldo Florian in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boy Fish prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute, Arnoldo Florian reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boy Fish. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 81st minute Ivo Oja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Boy Fish proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Arrebimba o Malho SLB from getting a goal against them. Arnoldo Florian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boy Fish having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Florian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boy Fish. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Florian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Boy Fish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Florian, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Roque Silviano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Boy Fish. Roque Silviano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. The supporters of Celta de Virgos booed when Arrebimba o Malho SLB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Trigueiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Celta de Virgos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
