In the 7th match minute, Black Mamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Apelkvist to maneuver through the defense. Richard Billberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Izzo's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Amadeo Rapinett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Tönnberg in the 12th minute of the match. Michael Testaferrata Olivier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Richard Billberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Billberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Izzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven-Olof Tönnberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeo Rapinett. That made the score 1-2 in the 42 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Olof Tönnberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Erik Österberg in the 52nd minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Billberg came out of the goal and Michael Testaferrata Olivier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute of the match, Andrea Xuereb got a very nice opportunity to score, but Richard Billberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 81st minute, Göran Bocklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Attard Gunners's Josh Triganza seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Josh Triganza the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Attard Gunners protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Josh Triganza had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Black Mamba a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Albert Hagström, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett. 2-3. Michael Testaferrata Olivier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Richard Billberg made a huge save. After 91 minutes, Mario Pullicino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Attard Gunners and the Black Mamba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Mario Pullicino got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Tönnberg in the 95th minute of play. If Sven-Olof Tönnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
