Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Genzo Wakabayashi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 20 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's Golo Oolo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Phillip Finden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Golo Oolo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Phillip Finden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Genzo Wakabayashi made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Stephan Belford sent off a good shot on target. Stephan Belford who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Genzo Wakabayashi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Miro Titos fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VILLARREAL UNITED's protests and gave Miro Titos a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes VILLARREAL UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Miro Titos. Golo Oolo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phillip Finden having to make a save. Phillip Finden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golo Oolo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th match minute, VILLARREAL UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karlos De Pablo to maneuver through the defense. Genzo Wakabayashi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryden Sewell in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, VILLARREAL UNITED's Karlos De Pablo got a free kick in the 44th minute. With an all-out effort, Glasston's Genzo Wakabayashi threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ryan Heys, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Golo Oolo to make the kick off. The Glasston manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing VILLARREAL UNITED to win.
