Gugu Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. OLIMPIA SP's Valdomiro Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save OLIMPIA SP from getting a goal against them. Mattias Borglin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Barbosa having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Ted Thorsberg rounded OLIMPIA SP's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Brian Glanselius kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Ghost Hunters getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Frank Qvarnström hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, OLIMPIA SP's Eliézer Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonatan Stål made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 32 played minutes Ghost Hunters got a freekick which was hit by Frank Qvarnström. In the 33rd minute of the match Gugu Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonatan Stål showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute of the match, Mattias Borglin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valdomiro Barbosa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 36 minutes into the game, Lúcio Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OLIMPIA SP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ghost Hunters the free kick. Lúcio Reis hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Teixeira in the 40th minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Jonatan Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Eliézer Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OLIMPIA SP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ghost Hunters made a substitution. Dennis Lindkvist replaced Niclas Abrahamsson. Ghost Hunters's Anders Appelgren was substituted for Mattias Borglin. OLIMPIA SP made a substitution. Zé Paulo da Fonseca replaced Gugu Vale. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliézer Teixeira to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ghost Hunters getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ted Thorsberg hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ghost Hunters's Ted Thorsberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliézer Teixeira in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonatan Stål saved Ghost Hunters from getting behind. Frank Qvarnström charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Qvarnström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 minutes of play, OLIMPIA SP's Eliézer Teixeira made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonatan Stål was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute of the match Brian Glanselius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdomiro Barbosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ted Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ghost Hunters's supporters rose to their feet, but Ted Thorsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ted Thorsberg came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ghost Hunters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Thorsberg couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Eliézer Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. OLIMPIA SP's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
