Bennis were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Aster Brasil Futebol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lin Xuan Hai took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Lin Xuan Hai got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcel Soares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Aster Brasil Futebol Club's zone, Cai Cheng Sang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Soares came out of the goal and Cai Cheng Sang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bennis's Lin Xuan Hai managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Serginho Senna in the 34 minute of the game. 0-5 became the score in the 35th minute when Sven-Åke Granberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Marcel Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Cheng Sang in the 44th minute of the match. Cai Cheng Sang took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Soares. Marcel Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Åke Granberg to make the kick off.
