Tarcísio Calçada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frogner were furious when Jonas Bergman was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Frogner getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jonas Bergman hit a great ball. Higino Lameiras scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf Gadd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Klementsson in the 18th minute of play forced DPD FC's goalkeeper Nuno Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Pais was a little too slow when Ola Klementsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. 22 minutes into the game, Higino Lameiras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DPD FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frogner the free kick. The supporters of Frogner booed when DPD FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higino Lameiras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulf Gadd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcísio Calçada, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Nuno Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Colin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tarcísio Calçada came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the DPD FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcísio Calçada couldn't finish the play. DPD FC's Belchior Valadares quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Einar Ekeroth, made in the 34th minute of the game. Lisandro Rebocho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ulf Gadd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulf Gadd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Rebocho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in DPD FC's zone, Ola Klementsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Pais came out of the goal and Ola Klementsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Rebocho made a kick off. Alfons Colin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frogner's Ulf Gadd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Frogner from getting a goal against them. The supporters of DPD FC booed when Frogner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjörn Stensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulf Gadd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Higino Lameiras went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ulf Gadd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higino Lameiras, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ulf Gadd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lisandro Rebocho in the 67th minute. Nuno Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Klementsson in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute Higino Lameiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Gadd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Frogner's goal looked a bit too open when Higino Lameiras came free, but Ulf Gadd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vicente Quinaz came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the DPD FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Quinaz couldn't finish the play. Ulf Gadd was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lisandro Rebocho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 80 minute of play. Einar Ekeroth hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Lisandro Rebocho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulf Gadd. The goal made the score 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laércio Mourão during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Laércio Mourão hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the match Börje Sandberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Pais skillfully saved the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DPD FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
