In the 9th minute Esquipula Ascarza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Onofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boquenses's Leonardo Onofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esquipula Ascarza in the 12th minute of play. Romo Axeitos kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, ASI NOMAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Iruinea came free, but Erasto Quizan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Benat Lueje hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 88th minute there was a penalty for ASI NOMAS FC. Ronaldinho Paris stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonardo Onofre. 2-2. Leonardo Onofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esquipula Ascarza in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Romo Axeitos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonardo Onofre. That made the score 2-3 in the 95 minute of play.
