Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) AM United's Juliano Freire started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Válter Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vascogoianiense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AM United the free kick. Válter Martins hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Zé Augusto Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juliano Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Juliano Freire notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Augusto Peixoto. Zé Augusto Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute, Dinei Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexandre Mendonça. The goal made the score 1-1. Germano Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Zé Augusto Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliano Freire in the 17th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Rocha in the 20th minute of the match. Germano Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Peixoto having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, AM United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Palhares to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, AM United's Juliano Freire nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for AM United. Laureano Gueifão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zé Augusto Peixoto. 1-3. Germano Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Mendonça came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's Hélder Trigo. But to his dismay, Hélder Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Laureano Gueifão hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Vascogoianiense FC's Hélder Trigo in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AM United's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélder Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juliano Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Palhares kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Vasco Esparteiro hit a great ball. Zé Augusto Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, AM United's Juliano Freire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Augusto Peixoto. Zé Augusto Peixoto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. 75 minutes into the match, Hélder Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Mendonça. AM United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. The AM United fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when AM United's Juliano Freire looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Germano Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Zé Augusto Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AM United's Lisandro Mourinho got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Juliano Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Rocha in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded AM United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vascogoianiense FC.
